An incredible debut from this emerging Indigiqueer artist. Sultry layers and stunning background vocals provide a dreamy backdrop to memorable lead melodies. At the end of Track 3, Green, the young artist honours her late father by delivering one of his poems. This moment, she says, is her favourite on this album. Heartbreak On The Coast paints her experience, from beginning to end, of falling for somebody of the same gender for the first time. She brings you with her as she tells her story of falling in love, treading new waters, the confusion, and eventually the pain of letting go. Her story is captivating and intriguing throughout, with strong lyrical themes, making for a fantastic debut and a heartfelt conceptual album about her experience. This album has received play on CBC Reclaimed, charted #1 on the CiTR Charts the week of its release, and charted #9 on CiTR's Top 100 Albums Of 2019.
